A MIB End of Red Ribbon Week

At first when I saw the agenda for Red Ribbon Week I was like, "Why is Friday MIB day?  That movie has been out for awhile."

Then, I found out about a $17,000 grant we were applying for...by "we" I mean our Enrichment Team & all 700+ students in my school.  I wish I had known, I so would've learned the dance...to practice with my Kinders {who were so cute nodding to the beat of Will Smith's Men In Black}.

The grant is from Fuel Up to Play 60's contest, Can You Dance Better Than an NFL Player?  We are hoping to buy fitness equipment & music that will inspire movement for the kiddos K-5 at Ridgeview.  So after a magic assembly we started filming.  I think we can dance, what say you:

I Mustache You...

how do you celebrate Red Ribbon Week?

We always have Spirit Week!  Mon. was PJ day...so after a 2 week Fall Break, I returned to school in my pajamas yesterday - HOLLA!

Today was Mustache Day - it was quite fun to see everyone in their 'stache finery!

I look forward to Wear Red on Wed., Costumes on Th., & Men in Black Day on Fri. - we get to wear JEANS ALL WEEK if we dress-up {and you know how I love my jeans!}!!!

Today we also investigated owl pellets - my teammate found this super fun video on YouTube:

 And we worked with our 5th grade Buddies to explore the pellets -

At first the kids were grossed out, but they found the whole experience pretty cool by the time we all finished!
